E10 - Downloading/Updating Tes Applications
Preamble
New features are regularly introduced into the Tes software, as well as software bugs fixed. This means users will need to regularly update the software.
Tes updates can be done:
- via a download or
- via the software.
Downloading via the Tes updates website
If schools want to use the Tes timetable for the first time, they would need to download the application from our site or sometimes there may be some issues that stop you from being able to update your E10 / Edval Staff applications via the applications themselves. In this instance, you can download the latest version from the software icons below and replace them with the outdated applications.
You will need to log in with a Tes username and password.
Username: Humpty
Password: 2norilsk
If the above sign in window does not pop up in your browser that means it is either your proxy, school firewall or browser pop up blocker that blocks the pop up. Please contact your IT to allow pop up for the Tes download site.
After logging in, the application will start to download. Once completed, move the application to where the old one is located and overwrite it.
E10 .exe has upgraded its .NET Framework compatibility. Please make sure that your machine is running on latest .NET Framework. Please click here to download the latest version. If you are using .NET Framework version older than 4.8 then executing E10 .exe would fail and not open. Please refer to our Knowledge Base document, Edval for IT Managers, for more information on setting up the application along with understanding our server addresses and minimum system requirement. Since version 10.6.0, E10 automatically updates to the version based on what is selected in Settings > Updates.
Anytime (recommended) - Tes will update to the latest version when it detects a new version is available. We recommend this as it ensures the latest version with fixes and new features is available.
Only if they are critical - Tes will only update to versions that is resolving major issues, such as a crash when opening the file.
Edval Staff does not have the option to update itself, and must be done manually.
For E10, go to Edval > File > Synchronise > Update EdvalStaff.
